Matt 160
I would strongly advise folks not to use ant powder. Apart from the legalities involved, most ant powders contain Bendiocarb, which is a carbomate that is banned completely in the US. DE is good. I've heard of people letting their bird have it in dust baths with good effects.

Bootsha 1,306
cobblers fuzzy, its proven, by countless people, and more importantly me , and as for dusty, you must be throwing it about to much . I use it under and in the dogs bedding and the poultry houses / nest boxes , i have a defra registered flock due to its size ( 10 hens ). Seriously though, i started using it last summer after i heard skycat mention it, so i gave it a try, and touch wodd, i've had no probs since, perhaps if we had a hot dry summer it may be differert, but the way things are going, i'm not likely to find out.
