smithie 2,444
i have bought a torch from ebay to mount on my rifle. its the same as the one in this link http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UltraFire-1600LM-Zoomable-Cree-XML-T6-LED-Flashlight-Torch-2x-Batteries-Charger-/261124384453?pt=UK_SportsLeisure_Camping_LightsLanternsTorches&hash=item3ccc39e6c5 its nice and bright BUT you have to go through a cycle of 5 different things every time. it starts at bright, then a little dimmer, then dimmer again to flashing s.o.s. to finish on a strobe. i have been told that on some you can turn the torch on/off then hold the button in for a set amount of time to set them to a particular option of your choice, mine being the one that burns your eyeballs out:) does anybody know if this is correct and if so how to do it? cheers smithie Quote Link to post
moxy 617
I only think it works on the high end torches. But in the cap with the button, at the side of the spring, there may be two flat square contacts on the pcb. You can choose one of the torches functions and set it permanent to that one by soldering and bridging those two contacts. Quote Link to post

I'm wanting to replace the white LEDs in a tristar for red. Where can I get the red LEDs Atb Quote Link to post

moxy 617
I'm after similar LEDs to these but in red. LEDs only. As they sit in their own heat sync housing. Quote Link to post
Guest scramble
Looks a nice easy job that mate, your after the LED's pre-mounted to the stars or you'll have to re-flow solder. Whats the driver running at? Quote Link to post
moxy 617
Not had that in bits and I'm sure that deben won't have been generous with that info. Let me do some trawling and I will get back to you. Cheers. Quote Link to post
