Is there a specific name for the sort of video cameras people use to watch wildlife......like these things folks set up to record animals coming into their garden that will record over a 24 hour period or something night and day.

And where you can get them as well ?

By the way, the latest ones have zero light emitted from the IR flash. So if you didnt want anyone/thing spotting it this'd be the way to go. Another thing to bear in mind is they eat batteries on the video settings ive found.

Im half a div when it comes to technology i just want the most basic easy to use and easy to play back as possible......roughly how long will batteries last and are they only in use when its recording movement.....or all the time its set up......its got to be enough to get through the night surely.

Yeah, plenty of juice to run through the night maybe 2 or 3, unless it is triggered of dusk till dawn, if its just in still mode will last a lot longer than film mode. If its easy to get to once a day, get 2 memory cards, swap memory cards and swap rechargeable batteries.
