I swear by the Hawke Sidewinders and even prefer them over the MTC range.

 

The 4.5 - 14 x 44 mm Tac 30 IR SF is a really great optic with the half mildot reticule.

I was up at redbeck last night and was swaying between the taipan and the sidewinder but really didn't like the telescopic sun shade on the mtc was a bit cheapy looking and not ery sturdy plus was bit heavier.

Yes i looked at the tac one and loved that to but i ened up sticking with my gutt instinct,

Thing is with Hawke aswell, they have the software too, to properly set a gun an sight up...I think they all should be following suit

I love my ranger, I've got the hawke niteye 6-24/50 with the SR12, I absolutely love it, the only complaint is getting enough time out to enjoy it! Have a great time!
