swaino 126 Posted February 16, 2013 Report Share Posted February 16, 2013 Had a greatfew hours out this morning, took me old bitch, the pup and the ferrets. I would of liked to stop out longer but dueto my bitch being lame i had to cut it short and head home. Still ended up witha bag of bunnies so i can’t grumble. I arrivedat the spot about 9oclock, sun was shining and was quite warm for a change. Thebitch marked a little set in the first field i walked so dropped the ferretwithout the nets for the dog to get a run, within seconds the rabbit bolted andoff the dog went, a few twists and turns and the first one was in the bag. Asshe came back she was only walking on 3 legs, i travelled quite out the way toget to this land so i didn’t want to call it a day there and then as i’d justgot there so i gave her 10 mins see if she could walk it off, she did pullround but wasn’t a 100%. We carried on, she marked up a few more sets and addeda few more bunnies. There was a old wood pile with a set under it, the dog wasall over it so i knew there was a few home, i put the long net round stuck theferrets in and the rabs were flying out great fun, even the pup started showinginterest. By now i could see the old bitch holding her leg up more so i knewthat was enough, shame because it could of been a big bag. Still had a greatmorning and only 1 to dig for... took a few pics.
