I've got this set up, at the rear of the garage is a single UPVC door which I cut a dog flap in, I built 1.5 mtr square cage around my work bench which is gated so I can fold it back when needed. Under the bench I put a packing crate which I insulated inside with foam and sealed so his bed is raised off the floor.

At night I lock the dog flap so he's secure in the day it's opened so he has the run of the rear garden which is secure and can go in and out of his bed at will, however I have just ordered some panels off eBay to build a run on the outside

Any pictures mate?, not moved house yet so plenty of ideas would be helpful
