Moult

Id say the only way too alter moult time would be via the use of artificial light. Bit of a waste of time really, best let nature take its course naturally, some do fly their birds through the summer, wild birds both fly and hunt during the moult, falconers tend to leave birds off whilst in moult , allows quarry species time to breed and mature, it would be a nightmare hunting in summer all the nests fledglings etc providing an easy crop and the cover would make it impossible to find your bird at times, far too risky, plus its nice to have some time for the family and let the bird rest proeprly
