Bsa super 10 fac

Recommended Posts

I don't have one on ticket but have owned and shot a carbine for around 10 years.

Cracking little gun and always been consistent.

I wouldn't like to add up the gear I have shot with it.

My only fault I have is that it's a noisy little fecker and have tried all sorts of silencers. I was going to put a longer barrel on it and put it on FAC but got a rapid instead.

My first and only pcp was a superten. The BBK version, lovely rifle and very accurate but mine was below legal limit, not sure what they are like when on ticket. Heavy guns but I liked that, some pcp rifles feel like toy guns they are so light.

I inadvertently had a Super 10 FAC! I asked if the gun was sub 12, I was assured it was, so we bought it. It had no trajectory, just flat, this was a .22! In the end we bought a Combro, crapped myself then we took it to a gunsmith who first checked it against his chrono, came out with the same power figure (28 ft lb). He checked the FAC list, this gun did not appear on it. He disassembled the gun and said "Ah!"

Obviously the gun had a regulator fail, it can happen. A previous owner buys a nice regulator from the internet, not checking what they are doing, buys Export Only regulator and bungs it in, gun goes from 11.3 fpe to 28 fpe in one easy bound! Gunsmith is RFD who utters the word "Always wanted one of these in FAC, want to sell it?" We say "YES!!!!!" He buys it, puts it on ticket.

The FAC Super 10 is as reliable as the sub 12, shot count obviously suffers, accuracy does not.
