ArchieHood 3,692
There should be a magazine retaining rod.Slide back to lock the magazine in. Quote Link to post
Froudy 40
Now sorted Quote Link to post
Tron 173
That magazine retaining rod has a tiny retention locking ball bearing and spring the bearing is easily lost when parting the top half of the action from the lower half. Can you feel the bearing indexing into place when operating after the magazine is put into place? Quote Link to post
Froudy 40
Thanks mate, Yeah I spent about an hr thinking and then I realised it must be held in place by the little ball and spring so got it all back together now, a quick question my mag has always slipped so it would go from 10 to 8 missing 9 and so on, do you think this is down to the mag or the indexing pin? Any help would be great. Atvb Froudy Quote Link to post
Tron 173
You havent said what calibre you have but if its a MK1 then you dont need the indexing pin if you are using the latest blue or red mags.If you have a MK 2 then the indexing mechanism should not be there. all mag indexing is done by the mag itself on the red or blue ones. If its a coloured mag then its probally set up of the Mag. Quote Link to post
Froudy 40
Cheers mate it's a mk1 .22 with the old style metal mag, so if I buy a new red mag it should work fingers crossed Atvb Froudy Quote Link to post
Tron 173
Yes OK, a tip here if your going to the latest coloured mags then it pays to remove the indexing link as it somtimes drags on the hammer, causing fluctuating velocities. Quote Link to post
