NS50 NV improvement?

Imagine you have just shot a rabbit with the NS50, turn the torch on and go pick it up, what could be simpler, what do you think?

 

Battery pack on the side of the IR screen unit.

 

Oh and before anyone notices, I will be moving it forward so I can access the top cap.

Nice idea Bud

On My set Up, Even though it's not an NS50 i use a Head torch with various L.e.d's ~ Wide, Flood, and Pinpoint, it also has a Red L.e.d,

Not to spook your Vermin Quarry.

My Set Up ~ Rapid TTR 1 in .25 Cal and Pulsar N550 with 940 nm ir Torch.

Hi Daz 7, you're set up looks impressive, I'd be interested in your opinion on the two different NV systems, I nearly bought yours last week but got put off by some negative comments on a forum, do you use yours in the day, is it spot on? Is it clear to 60 meters at night, what would you do to improve it? If needed.

I've shot with it in Daylight okay but it doesn't like Bright sunlight just like Day scopes without the Sun shades,

Easily clear past 60 metres and further, Though i only shoot mine out to 55 yards has i'm happy shooting on the standard

4.5 x mag setting as that's all You need, But You can get an additional booster lens to put it up to 7.5 x mag, But for Airgun ranges abit overkill.

i'm happy with the two ir illuminators i've got one for total sneaky beaky shooting as there's no tell tale Red glow unlike the NS50 or NS200.

But as the N550 and N750 are Centre fire rated NV i would upgrade for Further Distance to Deerlight system ir torch as it works spot on with the Pulsars.

Also the NS50 & NS200 Remind Me to much of My Sony HD nightshot Cam so that put Me off as it would be just a fancy version of that in My Opinion

.25 sub 12? what are you shooting out to, just interested, you have a rifle for night time only? My set up allows you to lamp or NV Or both?

Between 7- 8 hrs Continuous, depending how cold it is , When using the 4 x aa battery's i was only getting between 1- 2 hrs Max

I can shoot out to 50 yrds with the .25 Cal using 19.91 gr H& N FTT on Falcon Menace Day Scope 4 mildots down,

No Bud i can put the Pulsar on all 3 of My Guns the Two Rapids are fitted with weaver Rails so i just swap in Seconds without having to re-zero

and i've ordered a dove tail to weaver mount to do exactly the same with the HW 77 K springer, As all My mounts are weaver based so can pick and choose

which Gun to mount the N550.

Plus i've written down all the x = and y = which is the up and down or left and right of a normal scope in mildots for all cals so a quick click on the scroll wheel and i can shoot

instantly either .177 cal or .25 cal trajectory and soon when i get the weaver for the springer i'll have .22 as well, Love the One shot zero also on the pulsar N550.

Hi Keith & Daz , i am lucky enough to own both the N750 pulsar and the ns200 nite site

, i use the n750 om my annie .22LR with the nigtmaster 800 ir torch its a great piece of kit.

the ns200 i use on my fac air and sub 12fpe airguns on small shoots where i cannot use rimfires

another great ir for the n750 is the L808 laser ir torch,

my latest fac gun is great fun the daystate wolverine .303 at 100fpe with 51,15 grn pellets the bunnies hate it!!!!!
