secretagentmole 1,701
No, I prefer the cold, easy enough to add a layer of clothing! Quote Link to post
milegajo 595
It was too still and clear here, but it did cross my mind to go lamping. Couldn't justify it though as we've had a good run of meat courtesy of a chicken. I love cold weather stalks, as mole says, you just add a layer or two. Static hunting can get miserable though, which reminds me to ask santa for a flask... Quote Link to post
j j m 6,601
It's when your not moving around much that I dont like Quote Link to post
Lusomage 9
I find cold better as the quarry are usually out to find food for the winter. Does get a bit nippy whilst you sitting still for a while though, nothing a jumper and a extra pair of gloves won't sort Quote Link to post
hw97k 36
dont mind the cold,as long as im stalking, its the freezing driving rain what i hate.better than being stuck indoors whatever the weather. Quote Link to post
robwelsh 354
I find if the floors solid and crunchy its a waste of time. And that's usually when its bloody freezing lol Quote Link to post
ghillies 209
for those hard floors a cheap pair od soft rubber wellies..silence is golden. up untill i was thirty something it was a camo jacket a pair of jeans but jeez needed two pair of socks down to -6 or -7.. and 35 it was two three laters, no gloves needed, at 40 feck get the gloves on, hat n scarf lol. now its hand warmers at least two layers and sitting around? noooooooooooooooo... i always found winter condences the hunting, a few days without then bang on found um..then days off again, in flurries. we got it down to rabbits hold up till theyre hungry, then they hold out till one goes out, 2 go then eventualy they all follow.(seems to fit the pattern). edit.. missed the waterproofs, late ywenties affordable breathables came out, ooooo thats nice!! untill then it was better getting wet from the outside than freezing in them plastic water gathering sweat outs.
