Has anyone tried the Strelok ballisticcalculatorfor android?

Recommended Posts

Just downloaded it today after looking on the MTC website and seeing they have added it to there site. I downloaded it from the android market and got the free one first which is good but on the + version, (there is a pro, but its a different app and doesn't have the reticle on it) which is 3.99 you can change the mag and it will give you the mildot aim points as you change the mag which is good.

Just thought I'd see if anyone has used it and if its accurate, they have added the MTC SCB reticle and it seams to work well on my HTC sensation.

You can calculate it, measuring the drop over a set distance in chairgun, or use chairguns preset bc values. The former is by far the more accurate and will give the best results. Theres a rough guide on calculating the ballistic coefficient posted on here and my blog.

Hrrm, I dunno Mike, drag coefficient depends on many different things,Projectile shape, Altitude, weather IE damp, dry,hot cold temperature,! the list is quite comprensive remember here that unless you investigate deeply all the above instances are variable, is the projectile as stated in your opening thesis? is the velocity on each shot stable from shot to shot??does humidity change over the test cycle??. I give up! Nurse, Nurse! can I have my medication please!! :hmm::laugh::tongue2:

Yes. I switch between strelok and shooter. Both are excellent but strelok beats shooter if you wand hold overs/offs.

As said earlier they are only as good as the initial input for the weapon and ammo, and the input at the time for distance and wind speed etc. get all that wrong and you are back to square one.
