AA410 CARBINE HELP...

Recommended Posts

Hello,

As I have said few days ago picked up a pre ant-tamper rifle. I have a problem however, on top of the block were the scope rings sit, there is a metal dowel peace of metal. This is dropping the scope mounts skidding back to gain the correct eye relief. Has any body had this or know if I can remove said metal peace without it being in any way a problem.

NO, dont touch it E Fudd .Personally I find it a great reset position when reataching my scope and roll off mounts after any maintainance. if its in the way of your scope mounts then maybe you should try a different scope or mounts.

Ok I though it must have a function for being there. I think maybe I could modify the mount with a file. As thr scope is as far back in the rings as it can be. However, still is slightly our of focus after following how si and Davey said a bout putting the rifle up then open your eye. ...

Well Gaz its up to you but the only extra rail you will obtain by removing the pin is 6m/m if you must remove it you need only to grasp it with a pair of pliers

and twist it out. Dont file it as you will probally scar the rail in that area and devalue your rifle somewhat. cheers,

hi Gaz

i have left mine in as it acts as a good coat hanger (wet donkey jacket )

joking aside

leave it be your not going to gain much at all,and as Ron says like i use it for,its good for replacing your scope, and your bang on again after some maintainance.

mine is still there ,and its going no where as i feel it obstructs nothing on my set up
