bridport nets

Recommended Posts

Everyone has a preference for nets, I get most of mine handmade by a mate these days and they really suit my needs. However I have bought many nets and supplies from Bridport Nets over the years and I have never had a problem.

But if I did have a query or a problem I would pick up the phone or pop round and have a chat to Pat, and I am sure he would sort something out, he's good like that   As a business owner myself, I always value feedback from my customers and I am sure he will as well :yes:

The lad asked, and I told him of my experiences, Im not making it up. You could over look a dodgy knot or two, but to advertise something and go and send something else totally different is not acceptible, they had my details, could they not have contacted me first? Like I say I felt I was stung twice, there wont be a third time.

Easy now Bob, I don't doubt your telling the truth! I just think that feedback is important, if I ordered end pins, nets or a copy of goat-fiddlers monthly for that matter :whistling: , if it arrived and was not as described I would contact them and arrange to have the item sent back at hopefully the company's expense (remember by mail order you have rights under the distance selling regulations within 7 working days ;) ). Business these days is all about service, and I agree if they could not send the item you wanted and full fill the order and they decided to send a similar product which was not exactly what you wanted, it doesn't take much to pick up the phone and tell ye the situation before they send it ?

Amen Chalkwarren. I now make all my own nets, long and purse.

Sirius, Im not out to start a campaign against anyone. These were just my findings, that said, I`m not gonna pick up the phone and start trying to prise a 10er out of someone, which is probably cost me extra in postage in the long run. As Chalkwarren said, its best to seek out the artisan.

Bob, I would but then again I am tight like that

I agree, and there is a huge difference in a commercial net to one made by a craftsman
