As the gun is clearly "Not fit for the Purpose that it was sold for" Sam you have every right to ask for your money back as you purchased it from a retailer (Consumer rights act).

 

If you got it from a private seller, it would be a different thing altogether :grrr:

 

If the retailer gets stroppy, let them know that you are willing to involve the Local Trading Standards people check their address on the web or yellow pages and quote the address of the local office

 

I have often mentioned "My friend in the local TS department at.... such and such"

Retailers soon back down

Of course I have no friend in the TS department, but knowing their location of the office makes the retailer nervous and very complient

Cheers AirgunGuy but i am just washing my hands of this gun. Its aesthetically rough but that dosnt worry me i wanted a workhorse and this isnt one.

Best thing mate if it's shooting the way you describe. It could be 1 of many things or worse...could be many things

i was going to buy that gun the other day,glad i dident..i looked at it agane on thur and i think its that addaptor thats the problem..
