budharley 945 Posted October 31, 2012 Report Share Posted October 31, 2012 Hi guys just got a few fields this morning always noticed a good number of pigeons on so thought id give it a knock . The farmer said no problem come when you want always loads of pigeons got a couple of guys that come but they only come once or twice a year . I have always done rough shooting but im wanting to get into pigeon more so what would you guys advise me on what to buy decoy wise and equipmet wise obviously i know i need a hide and stuff but what sort of decoys should i buy and should i get a flapper or magnet or something cheers oh and cartridge wise to thanks Quote Link to post
trentotter 158 Posted October 31, 2012 Report Share Posted October 31, 2012 hi mate,my personal choice would be a couple of flapper's rather than a magnet.if your carrying your gear get a dozen hi-def shells,some cradle's a comfy chair and as for cartridges,30-32g 6s.. are good..you can go the cheap route and use 71/2 clay loads,but there only good up to 30ish yards...
