beagles 0
the fox was taking live stock and i thought were all ment to stick together in hunting not slag each other off if you dont like it dont bother writing on the post bunch of wankers Quote Link to post
arthur 0
beagles, normally i dont get involved with the slagging that does go on, but having said that you are kind of digging your own grave. we all do have to stick together in our chosen field but that also means stopping people from ruining the sport. if we were all to persist in your 'kill them all' attitude then we would no longer have any foxes to continue hunting. some on here dig to there dogs for sport and some dispatch foxes as a form of control. if we kill them all then it no longer is a sport or control it simply becomes extermination. if you make comments like you have been then you are going to have to expect people on here with respect for reynard to make some comments back at you. Guest whitser
agree with pointer28. we dug fox cubs a couple of years back and after that day i always keep a strict season, there just wasnt the same feeling of a job well done after killing the cubs. even though we were digging them for a farmer and local gun club man. i try not to kill a fox before sept but i dont think it helps when other lads slate someone who does kill off season, each to their own. division only helps the antis. what i do think is that lads with rifles lamping foxes should maybe but a limit on how many foxes they shoot in a night, shooting 8 or 9 or 10 foxes in a night doesnt benifit any hunter. Guest little_lloyd
The Hunting community has never been able to stick together!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When they did, rallys/march's etc it was to little to late. Thats 1 of main reasons why hunting with dogs is banned. Not that it makes a differance to me because all the arseholes who slated and hated me for poaching before the ban, then wanted my help to stop the ban coming in ARE IN THE SAME BOAT AS ME NOW ! Shooting, fishing and F..K knows what else will be nxt. Stop CONDEMMING beagles for fetching his pup on and killing a fox which was a nuisancse! Why do we need antis, they didnt need to ban hunting as in a few years more packs will die out due to lack of support. Its slowly dispersing every year Quote Link to post

Guest MOLLY
If you are a pest controler by profession or have extensive permission which needs controlling all year round then fair enough you have to be seen to be controlling numbers. But imo most of the people who post on here are not any of the above, and are just killing for the sake of killing. Come September there will still be enough young niave rabbits to bring a young dog on, but the majority of breeding will be over with and the nights/days will be cooler. A dog works hard enough during the season, do they not deserve a bit of time off, when traditionally wildlife was given a chance to breed to help maintain the balance?....It also helps to extends a dogs working life for a few years. These people will be the same people complaining they never see numbers as big as that when someone posts a good night out with 20+ rabbits caught. And they dont have the sense to realise why My dogs chase during the summer and occasionally kill during the summer, but it is few and far between and very accidental. I know some of you young lads cannot see the point of traditions, and are used to everything you want NOW. But traditions are there for a very good reason, if the thought of leaving young to die slowly without its mothers milk/protection does not bother you, than you are in the wrong game imo. MOLL.
