Tron 173
Was it a moderator or a air stripper? Quote Link to post
jamie82 6
ok rob, let me know if you find it mate, im not sure tron just saw it on a picture. Quote Link to post
Tron 173
Whatever it was, if it was a moderator it probally wasnt worth getting, if companies could make such a small mod efficient then they would, after all who wants to stick a 8 or 10inch one on the end of their rifles? the fact you saw grooves on it means it could be a stripper. 1 Quote Link to post
Tron 173
hey Jim, have a look at Bond gun accessories, they make all sorts of short strippers, moderators, muzzle brakes, some under 2 inches in length. Quote Link to post
jamie82 6
yeh i just had a look on there and it could be something like that, does anyone want to explain the difference between silencers, muzzle brakes, adjustable & non adjustable air strippers please? 1 Quote Link to post
Tron 173
Silencers/moderators makes the firing signature (Bang) much reduced. A muzzle brake is designed to reduce barrel flip, and recoil not really usefull on a air rifle. Air strippers are designed to negate air turbulance that emerges behind the pellet as it leaves the muzzle, again in my opinion, a waste of time and money on a air weapon. Quote Link to post
