johnpop 3
fox when you say you done them this time of year before what exactly did you have trouble with? just curious as you seem dead set against It that's all. what do you keep?
foxdigger13 114
I did it this time of the year as I was being stupid, I was told not to but dident listen, it was annoying because you have to keep them on the lamp so much longer which costs more £'s, also it's just more work, having to clean out the pen everyday for longer, and tbh I dislike bators anyway, I only use broodies now, far less hassle. johnpop 3
so apart from the money side of it and having to clean them out there was nothing wrong with the actual hatchings ie the health of the birds and growth etc. what poultry do you keep? Aseel Shamo 13
they don't seem too grow as well and as strong as the ones hatched in january/feb time, because they will get the full few months of decent weather and sun too grow well outside but if its a late hatch they've gotta stay in because of the weather and rain etc so there body can't develop aswell as out in the fresh air and grass. I don't know why everyone's making it complicated if you want too hatch them now hatch them but you will need too give them extra time to grow well!!!
