It needs to be cheap as the mrs has recently been made redundant and we have just had a baby so cash is tight but I dont want to have to replace it in 6 months time. Anyone got any suggestions / anything for sale? What should I be expecting to pay? Quote Link to post
Phantom 631 Posted September 19, 2012 Report Share Posted September 19, 2012 Congrats on the lil un, Sad to hear of your wife loosing her job (so much for britain is on the up). I began using an Ultrafire Cree torch mounted on to my gun. Stick to 300 lumen or less they cost pennies really compared to the usual brands, I got mine with charger and rechargable batteries, two switches (torch and finger remote for the gun) for less than £15 including delivery. Ebay I then spent a couple of quid on a set of coloured filters. You can buy them with red led's already installed. Massive light throw on them (just dont look at it when on, it HURTS the eyes! Trust me). When I got it I actually taped it to the underside of my silencer, worked a treat. I still use these lamps/torches but I did get a bargain Deben Tracer with variable light facility eventually (after about 3 years). Tony Quote Link to post

Thanks for the info, compared to the set ups Ive looked at (and couldnt really justify at the moment) that will save me a fortune! Tron 173 Posted September 20, 2012 Report Share Posted September 20, 2012 (edited) Hey Nashy your in luck, I have a brand new LED LENSER POLICE TECH FOCUS Tactical torch with Nylon carrying case and a separate pressure switch runs on three AAA bateries gives 120 hours running time look them up on Torch Direct for specs, brand new unmarked only used in the house occasionally. huge saving £20.00 to you. Tron 173 Posted September 20, 2012 Report Share Posted September 20, 2012 (edited) Yes OK Bud, I will pm you all the details in a minute,It didnt come with a mount it switches on with a press switch like a CREE, but this one has a extra end cap with a wire with a pressure switch on the end of it that cost a extra £8.50 on top of the purchase price. Like I said it didnt come with a scope mount so perhaps it wont suit you, but no probs as someone else wants it, let me know if you still want it there are two Police Tech models if you look again.
