BSA project.

Recommended Posts

Is'nt it strange, you think the world is full of dickheads, and a good turn is some thing resigned to the past, and then someone does you one, and your faith is restored. My faith was restored yesterday when my mrs was talking to the old dear who cleans the place where she works, my mrs had had a coffee with her in their canteen, and just happend to tell her about the demise of my 77, old dears reply was that her grandson had an old airgun in her shed, all she said was that it was a BSA, and it was in bits, and did I want it, she calmly said yes :D The mrs rang me yesterday to go and pick it up at dinnertime, a quick kiss on the old dears cheek, and off I shot with this black bin bag full of bits, one of the mrs mates said I took off with the bag like a rasta leaving a ganja forest  And this is what was in the bag.

I'm not over impressed with the pressed steal and plastic trigger, no wonder their competitors steamed ahead of the BSA.

All I was told about this project was that the grandson had lost his temper with the gun and slung it in the shed, and that it would'nt cock?

Could this be the reason, this might be the first time I've shown a profit on a gun  First job, metal tubing to fit inside this?

This will do, dont think the mrs will miss six inches from the brolly pole on her patio set, do you folks?

To this, not pretty before the perfectionists start, but I had limited time before her indoors got back from work :D

I like a tight fit ;)

Bits out, bits mollied and put back, as most bits looked sound, so being a tight git, they went back in :D

All back together, only piece missing was the black rubbery plastic spring end cap, shouldn't be hard to track one down, there goes my 2p profit, and by the time I get one, the gun should be tested and polished up, jobs a good'un, just a shame its only a 1.77 mouse hunting caliber, as wee dont get a chance at mice in our neck of the woods, to many cats

Keep at them you lead flingers!
