Guest norseman
hello there folks, took the stinkers out last week on 1 of my permissions for a quick run, and had to do ALOT of work just to clear the holes and also just to get at them, anyway day went well as im new to the sport, and still caught 4 coneys first time i caught any by the way, but im wondering does it get any easier in the winter, will the blackthornes, nettles and brambles ect completely die away? or is there always a fair amount of clearing to do? most of the warrens on my permission are basically inaccessable at this time as the rabbits ar'nt stupid i suppose. any feedback welcomed lads. cheers happy hunting. 1 Quote Link to post
theferreter 311
well done on getting your first rabbits mate and the cover will die back when the winter kicks in Quote Link to post
The one 8,588
Nice one getting a few the lighter cover will die down ,but the heavier stuff brambles ,gorse ,blackthorn wont but if you carry a pair of secateurs in your bag you can usually trim them back .If its a bit heavier i sometimes walk the dogs there and let them run about while i trim the burrows back for the next days ferreting Quote Link to post
