paulus 26
he will be feeling pritty insecure having just been seperated from his dam and sibblings, without the company hes missing you will have to improvise, a cuddly toy ect, as to wether to bring him in, thats down to you and your circumstances, he will settle in the run given time but if noise is an issue then a crate in the house may be the answer. bow19 0
he was already seperated from the dam , but lived with siblings, for his first 2 nights here he was in a cage in the kitchen , now ive built a run ive put him in with a toy he likes , he crys like mad then settles and doesnt come out of his sleeping kennel, is it possible for him to hate me because of leaveing him to cry outside Quote Link to post

s.e.s.k.u 1,893
always easier to kennel a pup outside when it has the company of another dog/dogs , and a lot to do with the temperament of the pup.iv got a collie/grey here who as a pup screamed blue murder if kenneled alone but happy to be in with a terrier . but for an 8 week old pup outside on its own its going to feel stressed because its worlds just been turned upside down. is this your first pup? or just the first time youve kenneled outside? 1 Quote Link to post

loumic 47
when ever i've had a young pup i've always put on an old jumper a week before then giving the pup it to sleep with as it smells of you and also try getting a tennis ball and playing with him until he wants to go of to sleep and then put him in the kennel. Try always feeding him in there and any chews. When he's older and can go out for a walk before bedtime he won't be as bad until he settles in. Quote Link to post
