Attack Fell Terrier 864
If its Rottweilers that need docking, just say that they are going to working homes as guard dogs. Guard dogs are working dogs surely?
Tallyho 181
When i rang one of our local vets to have my springer pups docked, i was told i would have to show every shotgun licence of the people that were having a pup .
lurchergrrl 1,441
When I got my terrier off the travellers at Appleby he was docked - and poorly I might add, as some cartilage was showing. Took him to the vet for his jabs and she grilled me about it. Who did it? Do you have paperwork? ... no, got him from travellers. Have you got a contact number for them You'd think I'd bit his tail off myself the way she behaved. I thought you needed paperwork from Defra or somesuch to legally dock? bobcullen79 1,495
I was speaking to my Mrs mate yesterday about this, shes a vet nurse. She said her practice would do it, but you need proof its going to be a working dog, I.E a shotty ticket, I pressume, what other documentation could prove this? Surely all that proves is the breeder does a bit, not where the pups are going? She also said they would not do rotti`s as they are originally a Pastoral? breed. (herding breed.) I guess its all about location, and a vet that understands the countryside.
