Hunting Flies with an Air Rifle

I was at The Shooting Ground today setting up a special edition .25 John Bowkett tuned BSA Ultra for some rat shooting when along came three flies.... three very unlucky flies! 25.4 grains of JSB King bad luck to be precise. Let's see if the anti's have anything to say about this kind of pest control

 

This was the most satisfying shooting I have done in a long time!

Never fails to amaze me. If a meteorite struck a whisker from my head I wouldn't wait for the next.

This ex-fly did. I had just set up to zero. First shot showed the scope was off. Aimed off. BLAM!. .177.

 

Target size of 2p peice.

 

This from a creature that can sense when you even THINK about raising your hand to swat it...

Put some jam on a white piece of card and it will pull in wasps. Very, very satisfying .
