Pelletpower 203
I am gong to be restoring my hw35 k, I had this rifle about 7-8 years ago and it was a cracking rifle I loved it! Then I sold it to my uncle who hasn't really done much with it apart from a few plinking sessions it's been in his shed...Ihe has decided to give it back to me for free! So I decided to sort it all out and restore it. I was even thinking of taking it to the next THL meet! I put it across the chrony and it was low @ 8.2ft/lbs with falc acc+ , I striped the internals de greasing them and by the way it had in a infamous "hw hacked spring" and I replaced the piston sleeve aswell. ( I have been told the hw didn't originally come with a piston sleeve) put the rifle back to get her and it was shooting 9.8 or there abuts I can't remember exact now but it was only a slight improvement with the work done, the firing cycle of the rifle felt a little smoother but nothing special! I have now orders a v-match kit for it to try and get it shooting smooth and closer to the limit. This has now got me started on wanting to do the rest of the rifle, maybe have it re blued or even some of that re-blue stuff you do your self I might have a go with that. I have taken these pics of the stock as I was going to strip it with nitromores and sand it and then oil it but have been advised that this is a hw35k luxus beach stock and would be hard to do and not worth the time and effort??? :(. Problem is I described the stock over the phone and I'm just not sure I described it properly so I'd like to ask some one who has one or seen one of these stocks? Is that the case??? Here is the stock Cheers Quote Link to post

Pelletpower 203
Just taken a few more pics of the stock? So the general consensus is to strip it? Using what nitromores? Then re oil it with what? i like the American walnut look like on a r-10, what oil would be best to get it closest to that? Also best person to re store the metal work?? Serial number reads : 1430817. Any idea of age? Atb Jamie Quote Link to post
