Bipod for bsa ultra.

Recommended Posts

So i want to buy a bipod for my bsa ultra.

I don't have a clue what to buy.

I don't want to spend to much on a bipod also,

So anything put forward is much appreciated, I also don't know much about fitting, because im wanting to buy a sling as well, and people are telling me that i will need to drill, which i would not trust my self to do.

Thanks anyway :)

To honest with you buddy there are many types on EBay for around £21.

I own them and use them from time to time and they work if you play with their legs a little on uneven ground, but since using a tilting bipod I haven't ever looked back.

This type of bipod is great for uneven ground and provides a platform for straight lob to a target.

The ones that I like are the Deben tilting bipods which are around £57. There are more expensive ones like the Harris tilting bipod but I have had NO problems with Deben what so ever.

A rifle as good a BSA Ultra needs a decent bipod really buddy, one that benefits its great accuracy.

Here are some for you to look at from the cheaper to the more expensive

I too use a Deben Tilt Bi-pod, very nice and no problems, 3-9inch with the swivel feet etc. very sturdy and gives a good shooting rest.

however if i were to do it again i would go with a non tilt - just personal preference

No mate its just one small hole done with a drill that takes 1 minute to do.

I do all my own now with a cordless drill and a bit of masking tape to stop drill slip.

The Stud you fit just needs to the the right distance from the end of the stock so the body of the bipod dosnt poke out over the end, very easy to do.

Just things to remember are measure twice to make sure you have the correct distance, use a very small drill to start with to make the pilot hole then use the correct size drill after (the first drill stops the larger drill splitting the wood)

Oh and take the stock off the rifle when you do it

Its not a complex or hard job just take your time with it

Edit: Buy the right stud too the rear studs are longer the front studs are shorter
