squirreltail 15
Out this morning crossing tram tracks in field and in front of us was a hare carrying in her mouth a tiny leveret. Never seen it before wonder if anyone else has, always known they give birth in fields and then go off another direction to have the next one, never knew they carried the young in there mouth, this must be unusual, wonder if anyone else seen it,Just imagine if she'd been chased, dont bear thinkin about. It would have made an amazing picture. Guest SJM
I think hares move their leverets around between different forms as a way of keeping them safe, am sure I read this somewhere or watched it on a nature programme. Would have made a cracking pic Quote Link to post
