junior air rifle?

im after a junior air rifle for my lad, is there such a thing?? a mate of mine geed him a smk yin, its only a cheap plastic thing but he has been plinking away with it for a few weeks noo an i wouldnt mind buying him summat more suitable, as this smk is a tad long for him unless he is laying doon or standing up an using a stick lol

 

so anybody got any decent recomendations for a shorter than average junior rifle??

is the airarms an the brocock pre charged guns?? id much rather start him with a springer to be honest an if he keeps into it then ill upgrade to a pre charged ina couple a years, if im being honest this smk thing he has got is perfect barring its a few inch too long :censored:

I hate to say it mate but your limited with springers cause of the weight....BSA Meteor is a nice rifle for the youth but when looking for a springer for kids then i hate to say it but Gamo do a nice selection in youth rifles like the Recon....now i dont rate Gamo but they are nice and light for kids

i have considered it lol, it going into tha armourer on camp 1 day next week to see if he can sort it, but i have been warned if its comes back broke, im in trouble :laugh:

:laugh: you can cut both the stock and the barrel just need to ensure the crowning is done correctly :thumbs:

your the 2nd person to mention gamo mate, my mate also said they were no where near as good as bsa an hw models, but he wont be shooting anything bar targets with it, so im not worried aboot it being under power, or even the build quality an he will only be using it when im there, an even then its on a static range, so i shouldnt imagine he will be dropping it or abusing it, ill look into them now, thanks :thumbs:
