help with fishing spot ideas

Hi All,

am trying to think of ideas for my dads birthday for a good days fishing, he enjoys carp, am not sure to whether he still fly fishes. from the northwest and would like to get him a days license (He already has license for some of are local areas) Or if anyone could tell me what magazine/website that could help me.

Do you mean rod licence or permit to fish, what area does your dad fish, do you want mainly carp fishing or a mixed fishery maybe better, it depend's what your dad is into,

permit to fish, (i think i dont fish so not sure which i think he has his rod license) mainly st.helens area carr mill dam, pilks, he does travel to over sites away from this area. either fishery will do as long as he enjoys it i know he did alot of trout fishing last year but cant remember where he went

There is a great fishing site called fish st helens and it will tell you alot more than me, you don't have to log in, there is a section on places to fish and how they are fishing and even the best way to approach it, you should find everything you need to know on there, if not you can alway's come back here and someone will put you in the right direction, good luck.

There is a fishery in Newton-le-willows that has 3 lakes, 2 trout and 1 mixed, sounds ideal for him, cant remember the name of it sorry, Woodhouse i think its a day ticket water aswell

cheshire fisherys you want go far wrong with them vist there website great day ticket water for course fishing also as trout lakes you can get anything you need there they even hire tackle out atb john
