pheasant chicks

after all the chicks have hatched and fluffed up and dried, they should be put in a holding area. place water and feed in for them and the temp. should be 35 deg. cel. good luck with your little family. :clapper:

The chicks will tell you if it is too hot or too cold - if they pile up right under the centre of the heat then they are too cold, and if they move as far away as they can it is too hot. Just right is when they are under the circle of heat and don't mind nipping across the light cast on the shavings base. Make the area circular otherwise they will pile up in a corner if given half a chance and trample/suffocate each other to death.
