OldTrapCollector 377 Posted May 20, 2007 Report Share Posted May 20, 2007 The chicks will tell you if it is too hot or too cold - if they pile up right under the centre of the heat then they are too cold, and if they move as far away as they can it is too hot. Just right is when they are under the circle of heat and don't mind nipping across the light cast on the shavings base. Make the area circular otherwise they will pile up in a corner if given half a chance and trample/suffocate each other to death. OTC Quote Link to post Share on other sites
