gnipper 6,994
I've seen a big dog fox that was at least 20", made my whippet look small anyway and this was in summer so it wasn't a fluffy coat making him look bigger. His vixen was a little old bugger with worn down teeth and his kids didn't like the taste of lead  . Apparently there was one quite a bit bigger knocking around here a few years ago too but i never seen it. Good luck catching him, gnipper

Guest Macnas
I think we've all seen foxes that we thought were the size of alsations at one time or another, but for the most part (there is bound to be a few abberations here and there) foxes are tidy creatures that have no reason to grow any bigger then 16 to 17 inches at the shoulder.
