I've seen a big dog fox that was at least 20", made my whippet look small anyway and this was in summer so it wasn't a fluffy coat making him look bigger. His vixen was a little old bugger with worn down teeth and his kids didn't like the taste of lead  . Apparently there was one quite a bit bigger knocking around here a few years ago too but i never seen it.

Good luck catching him, gnipper

If you get a 22inch lurcher , and stand it by a 6ft man the dog would come up to is kneecap. ;)

So a fox that size?? more like 16ins , and that would be a Dog fox. :hmm:

mad-mouse :D

I think we've all seen foxes that we thought were the size of alsations at one time or another, but for the most part (there is bound to be a few abberations here and there) foxes are tidy creatures that have no reason to grow any bigger then 16 to 17 inches at the shoulder.
