i have just put in for my fac but i have a few convictions thay are all over 7_8 years ago do you think this will be a problem

WELL G2, if you come up againest the right copper whose willing to forget your little troubles in the past you should be ok, but if its for serious offences, then i'd say your wasting your time, I'm only goin to tell you the truth, if your still fairly young you might have a few problems!!! It also depends if your putting in for a shotgun or rifle... . hope you get on ok!!

Gary; Don't quote me on this mate but, I'm reasonably certain I remember nine years happens to be the cut off point for even the more hectic pieces of ones Record. It's ~ I believe ~ something a bit shorter for 'silly' things.

 

I, of course, am purer than driven snow. But I do know a man who got busted for nicking a push bike, walking along a moterway and then possessing a smidgin of dope. Over a quarter of a century later that same man recieved, on request, a chit from the Police to say, 'Who? Naah. We've never encountered this one. No record of him on our computers. Must be a good fella '

 

Like I say; Such 'misdemeanors' were probably erased from the record after six years of their occurance. That same bloke now holds a FAC. As, all things being equel, I'm sure you soon will too
