cragman 2,843
The fact is that between these two Utd won the war (winning the title) but lost this particular battle. It was a crap game, and all that won it was one good move. Giggs wants putting out to grass, Ronaldo never turned up whilst Rooney ran himself into the ground for nowt. Somebody like Kaka from AC Milan always turns up for the big games, he doesn't hide away, and that's what Utd needed. From a cynical point of view, no matter what happened, those players on the pitch won't have to scrimp and save for their annual holiday, or to provide a decent christmas for their family. I'll bet no one came off that pitch with less than 100k in their pocket for this weeks work! Nobody is worth that much. Did you notice the middle tier empty very quickly? All the tickets went to the corporate groups who had no interest in the game what so ever.
