fac shotgun is section 1 so it will go on your fac not your sgc, so no you need only apply for fac

I'd say it depends what you want to do with it.

 

Whatever you want to shoot with a S.1 Shotgun needs to be allowed by the relevant condition on your FAC. If it says the shotgun is for Vermin then you can't shoot Pheasants with it etc.
