zini 1,939
Hi there everyone, This is a clip of my first ever visit to Woodend Farm Complex in Huthwaite, East Midlands. As you will see this complex is a brilliant complex offering a great number of shooting and throwing sports as well as various fishing lakes and kennels. I advise anyone in the area that is interested in the above sports or needs to use kennels to have a serious look at Woodend Farm Complex. From what I saw today this facility is first class and the staff there are very friendly and eager to assist. It’s well worth a look. porkycrook 466
Si, are you looking for alternative sites for the meet that was or is still in TA land? ATVB Roger Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
Hi Roger, Its still in the TA centre at the moment buddy. I haven't spoken to Dan the co owner of Woodend Farm Complex ref any future meets at Woodend yet, but its something that did cross my mind and depending on how we get on I think it could be a perfect location for a meet be it on the already planned 8th, 9th and 10th of June charity meet or after that sometime. A lot of things would need looking at i.e, would we still be able to pitch tents to sleep in, have a small open camp fire like normal, listen to our music at night, use the toilets there and of course what the price per person would be for the 2 nights and 2.5 days we would be there. At the moment we are paying £13 per head for the whole time at the TA centre with £5 per person being donated by the military from that £13 back to our chosen charity Treats4BritishTroops. As this June meet is all about charity work, me and Davy want to make as much money for Mr Cliff Ennis the co founder of the charity, so keeping entry as cheap as possible is the way a head. The charity DVD as raised over £670 alone and with the 35 names down to attend the meet already in June that a potential another £175, plus what ever we get donated in small change over the weekend and make from the £1 a comp entry fee's we should be hopefully not to far off £900. zini 1,939
i shoot and fish up there some times the owners are a bit funny sometimes but good shooting only ever been on the indoor range Great news pal, maybe we can meet up there one time and have a shoot together. Dan told me yesterday of some of the things that have gone off up there by silly people doing daft and illegal / dangerous things in the past so I don't blame them for protecting their business and lively hood which can sometimes I bet make them seen funny on occasions. They pay very big insurance bills and silly things that need other peoples attention i.e ambulance, lawyers, police and in the end insurance companies just bump them bills up even more for them. All I can say is that yesterday I met both the brothers for the very first time in my life and they didn't know me from Adam. None of them had ever heard of me or mine and Davy's channel but they took time out from their very busy day and really made me feel welcome giving me a full tour of their complex which i was very grateful for.
