shushyjukal 41
Hi all. I've just been given a bag of skinners to see how my bitch goes on it. On the bag it says 100gram of food to 8kg of dog. My bitch is 25kg so that's 300.1 gram roughly. It says to split this into two meals. Does this sound right as 300gram don't sound a lot to me? Just wondering who else uses it and how much you give in one go or two meals. Thanks for the help, shushy.
mally 832
I feed skinners Field and Trial duck and rice to my whippets mate and i feed them around 7oz (depending on there workload i'll increase/decrease accordingly. I would say 300g (12oz) is about right. I'd feed this for a few days and keep an eye on the dog if it looks like it's losing weight increase it. Hope this helps
shushyjukal 41
Nice one for that. I'll try her with that then and see how she goes. Do you feed two meals like it says or just one?
sandymere 8,263
I feed a main meal after the morning exercise and a snack after their main exercise in the evening. There’s no set rule for amounts as each will have slightly different needs, I'd do as mally suggest and start with what is recommended a increase if they lighten or decrease if the leave some or put on weight.
