fry 209 Posted May 5, 2012 Report Share Posted May 5, 2012 (edited) hi all my mate had some ancient rifles hangin round so i said i would sort one out for his son i have stripped a haenel 302 down and sorted the wood wormy stock but today i tried a set of scope mounts on the rail that i have hanging around an they appear to be too narrow on the width are larger mounts available? and is haenel pronounced like anal? p.s if anyone out there wants to swop some old wide mounts for some new modern ones pm me just to add i reckon the rail to be 13mm Edited May 5, 2012 by fry Quote Link to post

Try e(vil)bay if your local shop doesn't stock them. As for the pronunciation, I dunno but from what I remember KY always worked well to keep things smoothed out on those Quote Link to post

fry 209 Posted May 5, 2012 Author Report Share Posted May 5, 2012 (edited) heres some pics its a tad rusty here is the completely shot piston seal and here is the reason this was rammed in the end of the cylinder you can see where it has been hammered in an has taken the shape on of the small hole at the end(excuse my tech talk) one and a half of the front stock screws were missing the other half was snapped off in its hole i have managed to remove it an run a tap down the hole Edited May 5, 2012 by fry Quote Link to post
