A old lesson proved

Recommended Posts

Poped down to the cricket pitch I shoot on, on Thursday night after work. I have not been out for a bit and was starting to get a bit of a itchy triger finger.

Now a while back I went out on my first deer stork, and was lucky enough to bag a lovly buck (story for another post) but during the grollock I was told to keep my gun loaded and somewere close to hand. At the time and I guess cought up in the moment, I did not think about it to much.

Anyway back to the cricket pitch, I had managed to pop 3 bunnys 1 biggy and a cupple of youngens and was getting sorted to go home. I had been bashing and crashing about as I gutted them, put my knife away, gloves away and bunnys in the bag. As I stood up no further than 25ft away was another bunny just sat there. Of corce the rifle was loaded and to hand, just as I had been told to do.

So I had to get my knife out, gloves out and another one in the bag.

So the morrel of this story, well no matter if you are bashing a cupple of bunnys or taking on a big Red be ready at all times.
