At entry level you have Windows movie maker, on Windows 7.

How good the slow mo will be though will depend upon how many frames per second the footage is recorded in.

ive just upgraded from vista to windows 7 and i cant find windows movie maker anymore its not under programs any ideas?

Load the footage into movie maker, then split the footage to the bit you want slowing down.

Then go to "edit" then "speed" and choose the speed.

Windows 7 will do it, xp won't, not sure about Vista.

Hope this helps.
