Davey44 0
I just got my application and need to fill out the ammo and rifle types are. I am new to FAC and am applying for .22lr as I shoot rabbits, crows etc but am wondering are there any other types of ammo I should list should I need to shoot anything bigger than rabbits eg foxes? Also if I want a FAC air rifle how do I list this on the FA? Cheers in advance! Quote Link to post
PLEDGEY 496
If you search Firearm Application Somerset, they show you a dummy copy already filled out so you have some idea what to put. For the amount of ammo put 600. Then when you are down to your last 100 you can purchase a whole box of 500, if you live out in the sticks this saves on fuel. Quote Link to post
TWOTWOTHREE 152
Hi You don't need to list the type of ammo just the Calibre and the amount you wish to purchase and hold, not sure on the fac air rifle, as for the Rimfire rifle, I just put 22 Rimfire in the calibre bit, bolt action in the type and reason as vermin control including fox, then underneath in the same secion I put 22 Rimfire then in the type put moderator then in the reason part, I put vermin control, same for all calibres I have, never a problem, amount for 22 ammo I put buy 500 hold 600, Atb 223 Edited April 27, 2012 by TWOTWOTHREE Quote Link to post
Davey44 0
Thanks guys! What about .17hmr, will I need this for longer range? Quote Link to post
zx10mike 137
authority to ourchase an fac air rifle,no need to state any more ft lbs ect and no need to put anything for ammo as you can buy them over the counter without an fac.in my humble opinion hmr is better for long shots by far and much much safer than a 22 which are prone to richochets if you want a moderator be sore to ask for one even for the air rifle as if its not on your ticket and your cought using one you will be in bother.
