steve66 4,014 Posted April 23, 2012 Report Share Posted April 23, 2012 Went for a walk yesterday to test a 70 300 sigma out , when i came back and uploaded the pic to my pc some of the water shots had a strange line on them , i dont think ( or hope not ) it was the new lense but more to do with the way the light hit the water Any other thoughts ? MuttleMcTuttle 21 Posted April 23, 2012 Report Share Posted April 23, 2012 Think Undi hit the nail on head, out of focus reeds... you often don't notice stuff like this when looking through the camera because you will be looking at it with the lens at its widest aperture setting. As the shutter fires the lens will automatically stop down to whatever aperture is right for the exposure. You can check the focus by using the depth of field preview button (if your camera has one) and this will show what will be in focus in the actual shot. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
