Painting a stock

Recommended Posts

Hi guys i was thinking of custom painting my Brocock Hunter ready for the winter bit of a summer project really.

It has a black abs stock and i wanted to camo it in winter colours.

i wanted to know if you can paint straight onto the stock or does it have to be pre treated first.

if i paint it can i use acrilic paint or doeas it have to be something different.

will i have to then protect the paint with a laquer.or will this damage the stock

cheers guys

If you go on to YOUTUBE and do a search for ' camo stock painting DPM style part 1' there is a vid by a bloke called Carbonrocket. He does a couple of spray jobs on guns, the S410 looks well smart. The stocks he does are wood but he might know if you can spray a synthetic stock.
