AIRARMS PROSPORT

Recommended Posts

Hi mate,

I owned a Air Arms ProSport for about a year and a half before being made to sell it due to a marriage break up.

If I'm honest it was one of the worst things i have had to do in regards to selling my air rifles. That and selling my r10, but as those of you who have gone through a divorce will know, sometimes things have to give before better times shine through.

Anyway back to the subject, In my time and experience as a avid air rifle shooter and hunter i have used many many rifles, both spring and pcp.

The AA ProSport is by far the best spring piston air rifle straight out the box that i have ever shot.

Mine was second hand but in reality it was not shot much at all and was really a new walnut shocked version less a half tin to a tin of pellets being fired through its barrel.

The only other spring piston rifle that i have shot that i would say seemed any better than that ProSport (and it was only a tiny bit better than the ProSport) was a extremely well tuned HW97KT that was tuned by the master himself Tony Wall at Sandwell Field Sports in West Bromich.

Out the box (and this is also from experience) a HW97KT which is also one of my favorite spring piston rifles would not be as smooth and nice to shoot as a ProSport. The HW is still a very nice rifle but a out the box ProSport shoots like a tuned rifle from the start.

Mine was a .22 calibre version and i have footage of me shooting targets easily at 50 plus metres and pigeons at a lased 63 metres with it after much practice of course and in perfect conditions.

Hold wise i agree with John (Gurtwurtz) they are no more sensitive than any other springer and due to there weight recoil is minimal assisting in gaining good accuracy.

Its a rifle i will defo own again next year and in .22 calibre which is my favourite calibre. Fitted with a Hawke SR 12 reticule that is correctly calibrated its deadly combination.

Here are a few clips i did on my old channel if your interested in seeing the ProSport in action.
