ROB.BOB 21
Basically i've been offered a 6 month lurcher pup, but at the moment i only have the one kennel untill i land a job. The guy whos offering me it recons the pup will make around 25 tts SO heres the sinario.... The 'bed' of my kennel is 3.5ft wide & 4.5ft deep. The 'run' is 6.5ft wide & 5ft deep. I have two Labradors in the kennel, both are roughly 22 tts and not of a heavy build. do you guys recon that putting a lurcher in there hopefully temporarly will still give the dogs enough room? or would it be to full?? cheers Rob Quote Link to post
Lab 10,979
Sounds like it could be a disaster waiting to happen. Cant you knock up something for the new dog??. Wouldn't cost much. 1 Quote Link to post

Simoman 110
Kenneling 2 dogs is a very bad idea in my opinion, kenneling 3 is beyond belief...... Quote Link to post
skycat 6,174
Don't do it! Not fair on the Labs, and certainly not fair on the pup, who although young, is exactly at the age where it is likely to wind up the other dogs: wanting to play all the time. The bed is certainly not big enough: in an ideal world each dog will have its own bed, unless they have always lived together and get on very well indeed, which I would imagine is the case with your Labs. You know the old saying? Two's company, three's a crowd! Never a truer word said, especially when it comes to dogs. 2 Quote Link to post
Tiny 7 1,694
That area in IMO is too small for all 3, But mate if you really want the pup get a good draught free box and a few slabs and put him on a box and chain, ALOT of people dont like box and chain but iv seen some decent set ups like this but this is all JMO Quote Link to post
ROB.BOB 21
Thanks alot guys, appreciate the advice! i'll ask him if he could hold onto it for me untill i find out if i've got a job with a house, kennels and all that. if not i'll have to spend some time putting a new one together! thanks Rob Quote Link to post
