Good afternoon on the OSR again

Well the old chap tried the same field that me and Duncan failed on sat morning.

 

As alot of birds where enjoying the warm sunshine and tried further along the hedge than us which I think Duncan would agree they was favouring the other day.

 

He setup at midday after pushing 500 off and he was having steady shooting till I joined him at half one.

 

We shot untill 430 with some good shooting as the birds are start to pair off which allows for some nice steady left@rights which build your bag .

 

Finall tally 59 and its looking more promising in the coming weeks.

 

Ive done some doddles on the picture to help an newbies trying to understand decoying.

 

And over the coming weeks am planning on doing more in depth threads to help out and understand the basic patterns of decoying and RECCE of feeding birds etc to help you bag more.

The red line denote the horseshoe shape decoy pattern with the decoys facing roughly the wind with some sideways and some with heads propped etc.
