Fundraiser

Recommended Posts

As some members on here know i work alongside a local mental health charity and after reading a post yesterday and today i have came up with the green shoots of an idea for a fundraiser later in the year.

I have always had the idea of walking from coast to coast along Hadrian's wall, as i said i was sort of inspired by another thread elsewhere on the forum, i would like to do this with the bare minimum of equipment, relying on the good nature of folk to help me along with food, drink, company for parts of the walk and even a tent/barn/shed to get my head down in of an evening.

Just in the early planning stages at the moment, and just wondered what you guys/girls think the chances of it working as per plan. or would it be a long, cold, hungry week for one dude and his dog.

A friend from uni did this a few years ago....and it was really successful, quite a good amount of money raised.

As Labtastic said, he too had friends and family members who walked with him for small legs of the journey. I think it's a brilliant idea....go for it!

Yeah its looking highly likely I will, would be great to meet up with a few people and do a bit with terriers and lurchers , or even a spot shooting along the way, even if it took a week to do the walk it would still be a great experience I believe
