whippet on fox pre ban

i heard a rumour there was a big yella whippet on this site an others that takes 40+ foxes a season an never gets marked up, all preban ofcourse

lol I remember that very bold statement so fished it out from another forum here it is.

 

Let me tell you about big dogs, they steam in without a thought thats why bull crosses are so bashed up, my Lilly 16.5" 9 YRS OLD still takes foxes she has probably had around 40 of them yes she carries a lot of marks as some of you wil see this coming weekend but not as much as a bul cross thats only seen half a dozen, why? because she uses her head. Sonny hes had about 21 yes hes got a few scars also and some of his tongue missing but is just the same.Slipped together on a fox they hardly ever get a mark on them , they use their brains instead of brute force and ignorance.

 

What kind of top dogman in the country comes out with crap like that ha ha lol.

this comes up all the time i have run whippets for 40yrs and yes they will take fox if they come across them but they are not the dog you would use on fox all the time they lake the killing power and some times take to long to kill them so end up taking to much punishment

Whippets are not the right dog for fox, right tool for the job and all that, I expect there's always exceptions but in general not enough weight and power singled, just my op though.
