lurche 48
been to local shop today and cant decide between a crosman co2 .22 or a webley 375 or 365 i think break barrel .22. i know these are only low budget guns bought if any one has any experience of them any pointers would help.i also want the little lad who is only 9 to use it so thought the co2 would be easier for him and quiter Quote Link to post
StevoSmith 147
I would personaly go for the Break Barrel Webley mate....more reliable and never runs outta puff lol....will be heavier but would be cheaper in the long run.....try your lad out at gunshop to find how he handles both mate Quote Link to post
lurche 48
i liked the break barrel it was the first one i seen and liked it, abs butt 4x32 scope but quite stiff to load 125 quid the second was the crosman suggested by the owner but at around 165 quids i think with 4 x 32 scope think another was a cobra or somert full power 12lbs break barrel that was arouind the 160 mark with 4x32 he also showed us a b2 with italian wood design and silencer and sight carbine for 125 said id take lad next time and see what he thinks Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
Look for a Stoeger X20.... Quote Link to post
StevoSmith 147
Like Mr Mole said the Stoeger x series are great rifles........you can get synthetic stocks to reduce weight and they full power....I personaly prefer the Stoeger X50 but thats my preferance...both rifles are relativly cheap and more than capable of knocking over bunnies Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
Just one word of advice, do not, under any circumstances, short of them giving you money to take it away, leave the shop with the B2 rifle! Quote Link to post
lurche 48
thats what i thought about the b2 i mentioned to the bloak about it being chinese and he said things had come on allot in recent years :whistling: is max power best as i think the webley was only 10lbs whats difference between x20 and 50 Quote Link to post
lurche 48
Stoeger X20S Synthetic Combo .22 is this same power? or any good Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
Stoeger about 11.5 fpe, powerful enough to hunt! Designed by Beretta as well! Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
If you are looking for a back yard target plinker then about 6 foot pounds is all that is needed. If you want to hunt as well then you need a "full power" gun, anything over 10 foot pound energy in reality. The Stoeger has a good reputation! Quote Link to post
