fireman 11,235 Posted February 5, 2012 Report Share Posted February 5, 2012 Was on my way to a bird sale today and on a duel carrage way i spotted a car facing the wrong way down a verge with a woman and 3 kids stood next to it,it looked like they had just crashed so i stopped as quick as i could and ran back up the road to check they were all ok.While i was running up the road (aprox 200 yrds)loads of cars drove past and only one other stopped to offer help,now the woman and kids were all ok although shook up and one child was crying but all ok.We managed to get her car out the ditch and back onto the road facing the right way and got her on her journey home.Made me fecking livid that so many people were just driving past when it was in plain view a woman and her 3 kids were in need of a bit of help,if it were my misses and kids i sure hope someone would stop to help and so much for instant good karma as well as the bird sale was cancelled when i got there :laugh: . Work them hard 339 Posted February 5, 2012 Report Share Posted February 5, 2012 It has happened to me, I was on my way to work a couple of years ago it was boxing day morning around 5.00am i was going round a corner and a car was coming towards me on my side of the road, As i swerved and corrected myself my car just lost grip on ice spun and then rolled! i was knocked out briefly when i got out several cars drove straight past my car on its side i was flashing my light waving and nobody stopped, So i was stood by the side of the road with a lump on my head ( On the passenger side i had a set of heavy old binoculars which hit me! ) I was trying to look for my dogs even though i didnt have them with me . The fella that caused it didnt even stop! I would say probably a drink driver who had too many on christmas night. It was expensive in the end one written off Daihatsu and a recovery fee!
